INTEC and INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS SOCIETY (ISS) HELD FAREWELL DINNER FOR 5 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WHO WILL GRADUATE IN 2015

The International Student Centre (INTEC), UniSZA with cooperation of International Student Society (ISS) of Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), as an organization or club whose members consist of international students studying at UniSZA, has successfully held a memorable farewell dinner to entertain and congratulate five international students who are expected to complete their studies this year. The event was held on Tuesday, 13 January 2015 at Primula Beach Hotel, Kuala Terengganu. The presence of international students from Kano-Nigeria, Thailand, Yemen, Cambodia and Indonesia has made the event a memorable one.

Five students who were entertained in that event were Rania Abdulwahab from Thailand who studies at Faculty of Economics and Management Science meanwhile Karim bin Mohamad Nor, Sajarah bt Mohd Ali , Muhammad bin Yahya are respectively from Cambodia who come from Faculty of Islamic Contemporary Studies. These four students take bachelor degrees. Another student is Rowa Mohammed Yahia from Yemen who is going to complete her PhD studies from Faculty of Bioresources and Food Industry.

Some of these graduating students have been actively involved in the ISS organization. Rania Abdulwahab was the former treasurer (2013-2014), Sajarah bt Mohd Ali was the former secretary (2013-2014), Muhammad bin Yahya was the former president (2013-2014), Rowa Mohammed Yahia was the former vice president (2012-2013) and Karim bin Mohamad Nor himself was an active member of ISS. For that purpose, the International Student Centre has proudly presented them with certificates depicting their involvements and positions in the ISS. Mr. Ahmad Taufik Hidayah bin Abdullah, Deputy Director of INTEC, was present on behalf of the Director, Dr. Adam Abdullah to give away the certificate of appreciation. Other international students also gave a fond farewell to their graduating colleagues by making collections among themselves and bought some gifts for the respective recipients. The event was then continued with dinner and ended with group photos session, and they all very much enjoyed themselves.

INTEC wishes the five graduating students great success in their future endeavour and careers. We do hope they always remember UniSZA and can share their good moments with the people in their home countries. They can be our important ambassadors to invite and attract more students to come and study at UniSZA. As for current students studying at UniSZA, we also wish you success in your academic and social life here. Please get involved in club like ISS as a platform for you to develop your soft-skills in communication, leaderships as well as in developing teamwork. Apart from academic skills, the soft skills are now deemed very crucial elements in making someone successful in their life. Let's come and build our ISS together, immerse yourself and gain knowledge and skills for your future. INTEC as the patron for this club will always fully support you.
